Recover Deleted Messages – Privacy Policy

App: Recover Deleted Messages · Last Updated: May 30, 2026

CloudVoir (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Recover Deleted Messages mobile application (the “App”), a free, ad-supported service that helps users view and recover messages and media that may have been deleted from their device. This page explains what information the App and the third-party services it uses collect, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Terms used here have the same meaning as in our Terms & Conditions unless defined otherwise.

1. How the App works and what stays on your device

Recover Deleted Messages recovers messages by reading data that is already present on your device, such as notification content (via Android’s Notification Access service), locally stored or cached message text, images, audio, video and documents in app folders you grant access to.

  • Message and media content is processed locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, store, or sell the content of your messages, contacts, photos, or other recovered media on our own servers.
  • Recovery depends on data the operating system or other apps left on the device. The App cannot guarantee that any specific deleted message can be recovered.
This is the important distinction from a “we collect nothing” policy: while your message content stays on the device, the third-party services below do collect technical and usage data off the device. Both statements are true and both are disclosed here.

2. Information collected by third-party services

The App uses the following Google services. Each may collect data as described in its own privacy policy:

Google Play Services / Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

We display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and Google Play Services may collect and process your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device and operating-system information, coarse location (derived from IP), and ad-interaction data in order to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. It collects app usage and event data, device and OS details, and pseudonymous identifiers such as the Firebase installation ID and app instance ID. This is used to improve features and stability.

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Crashlytics to diagnose crashes. When the App crashes, it collects a crash report that may include the stack trace, device state, device model, OS version, App version, a Crashlytics installation UUID, and your IP address. This helps us fix bugs.

3. Log and usage data

When you use the App, our third-party services may automatically collect “Log Data” such as your device IP address, device name and model, operating-system version, App configuration, the time and date of use, and other diagnostics. This data is used for analytics, crash reporting, and ad delivery as described above.

4. Cookies and identifiers

The App itself does not use browser cookies, but the third-party SDKs above use device and advertising identifiers (and may use cookies inside ad content) to deliver and measure ads and analytics. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

5. Permissions the App requests

  • Notification Access — to read incoming notification content so that messages deleted from other apps can be recovered. This runs on-device.
  • Storage / media access — to read and restore cached or backed-up media files you select.
  • Internet / network state — required to display ads and send analytics/crash diagnostics.

You may revoke any permission at any time in your device settings; some recovery features will stop working without them.

6. Data retention

Recovered content remains on your device under your control and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the App. Analytics, crash, and advertising data are retained by the relevant Google service according to that service’s own retention policy.

7. Security

We value your trust and use commercially reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App serves ads, please ensure it is not used by children in violation of Google Play’s Families policy. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in your device’s settings.
  • Revoke Notification Access and storage permissions at any time.
  • Uninstall the App to stop all further data collection by the App.
  • Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR / CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data held about you — contact us using the details below.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept them.
