Phone Cleaner – Privacy Policy

App: Phone Cleaner · Last Updated: June 8, 2026

CloudVoir (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Phone Cleaner mobile application (the “App”), a free-to-download, ad-supported utility that helps users free up space and optimize their device by finding duplicate and large media, compressing photos and videos, cleaning up the gallery, and managing installed apps. The App also offers an optional paid Pro subscription (which may include a free trial). This page explains what information the App and the third-party services it uses collect, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Terms used here have the same meaning as in our Terms & Conditions unless defined otherwise.

1. How the App works and what stays on your device

Phone Cleaner works by scanning content that is already present on your device — the photos, videos, and other media stored on your device, together with the list of apps you can launch — so it can help you free up storage and optimize performance.

  • Scanning and cleaning are performed locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, store, or sell the content of your files, photos, videos, or the list of your installed apps to our own servers.
  • The App only removes the files or apps that you select or confirm. Deleting files is permanent and cannot be undone, so please review items before cleaning.
  • The amount of space that can be recovered depends on your device and the files it contains. The App cannot guarantee any specific result.
This is the important distinction from a “we collect nothing” policy: while your files and on-device content stay on the device, the third-party services below do collect technical and usage data off the device. Both statements are true and both are disclosed here.

2. Information collected by third-party services

The App uses the following Google services. Each may collect data as described in its own privacy policy:

Google Play Services / Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

We display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and Google Play Services may collect and process your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device and operating-system information, coarse location (derived from IP), and ad-interaction data in order to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. It collects app usage and event data, device and OS details, and pseudonymous identifiers such as the Firebase installation ID and app instance ID. This is used to improve features and stability.

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Crashlytics to diagnose crashes. When the App crashes, it collects a crash report that may include the stack trace, device state, device model, OS version, App version, a Crashlytics installation UUID, and your IP address. This helps us fix bugs.

Google Play Billing

If you purchase the optional Pro subscription, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment, and we do not receive or store your full payment details. Google provides us with limited information such as your subscription and purchase status so we can unlock Pro features and provide support. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play under Subscriptions.

3. Log and usage data

When you use the App, our third-party services may automatically collect “Log Data” such as your device IP address, device name and model, operating-system version, App configuration, the time and date of use, and other diagnostics. This data is used for analytics, crash reporting, and ad delivery as described above.

4. Cookies and identifiers

The App itself does not use browser cookies, but the third-party SDKs above use device and advertising identifiers (and may use cookies inside ad content) to deliver and measure ads and analytics. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

5. Permissions the App requests

  • Photos and videos (media access) — on Android 13 and above the App requests access to images and videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO), including the “selected media only” option (READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED); on Android 12 and below it uses storage read access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). This is used to scan your media for duplicate and large files, compress photos and videos, and clean up your gallery. This processing happens on-device.
  • Usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) — optional; granted from Settings. Used to show how recently apps were used and their storage usage in App Manager, to help you decide what to remove.
  • Uninstall apps (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES) — to let you uninstall the apps you select from App Manager. Android always asks you to confirm each uninstall.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — optional; used only to send occasional cleanup reminders. You can disable them at any time.
  • Internet, network state, and vibration — required to display ads and send analytics/crash diagnostics, and to provide haptic feedback.

The App lists only apps that you can launch (via the system launcher) and does not request the “query all packages” permission to read your full list of installed apps. You may revoke any permission at any time in your device settings; some cleaning and management features will stop working without them.

6. Data retention

Your files remain on your device under your control; once you clean or delete them, they are permanently removed from the device. Analytics, crash, and advertising data are retained by the relevant Google service according to that service’s own retention policy.

7. Security

We value your trust and use commercially reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App serves ads, please ensure it is not used by children in violation of Google Play’s Families policy. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in your device’s settings.
  • Revoke media, usage-access, or notification permissions at any time.
  • Uninstall the App to stop all further data collection by the App.
  • Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR / CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data held about you — contact us using the details below.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept them.
